FEEDS and European Fire Safety Alliance met with MEPs Seán Kelly and Maria Da Graça Carvalho
On March 23, FEEDS and European Fire Safety Alliance met with MEPs Seán Kelly and Maria Da Graça Carvalho to discuss fire and electrical safety, particularly:
Statistics : Seán Kelly will propose to the Parliament a follow-up to the successful EUFireStat pilot project. The aim is to test the implementation of the harmonized approach for fire statistics. If successful it will bring us closer to an EU wide collection of fire statistics to guide efficient policies to keep people safe.
Buildings: we shared a joint statement of fire safety stakeholders welcoming the gas, electrical and fire safety provisions adopted by the Parliament into the #EPBD. We will strongly support these provisions during the trilogue.
EU action: the EU Fire Safety Week in November 2023 will be the opportunity to discuss a fire safety action plan for the next Commission in view of the EU elections in 2024.
Thanks Maria Da Graça Carvalho and Seán Kelly for your continuous support!
